two spots in california where voters may not have minded waiting to cast their ballots. good morning to you, washington. i'm cynne simpson. >> and i'm steve chenevey. let's move on to the snowfall. here's jacqui jeras with our forecast. >> don't get too excited, guys. we should see snakes today, and i'm not talking about the two of you. it's not going to amount to a whole heck of a lot. weather headlines today, yes, the first ones of the season are expected to be seen, probably not so much this morning, although a few could mix in with light rains to our east. better chance by this evening and overnight. cloudy and windy and cold will be the rules of the day today, but we get through the coastal storm, and it's going to be warmer by the weekend. it will be oh, so much better. in the meantime, we've got 41 degrees at reagan national. there you can see the moisture on the delmarva, into the eastern shore, trying to sneak over into western parts. temperatures are going to stay pretty steady today, in the upper 30's to lower 40's. best chan

[ laughter ] i got a gat idea for a business in colorado or washington. anything that's open at 3:00 a.m. and has food. [ laughter ] we passed a weird measure in l.a. measure b will require porn stars to wear condoms in all adult films shot in los angeles. primarily male porn stars. the women do not have to wear them, but -- i believe this is the first election in which i voted on an erection. it is unique to us in hollywood. the way it works, every adult film shoot in l.a. have to to pay for a permit and the money from the permits will go to fund periodic condom inspections. for real. people will be carrying cards that say condom inspector on them. california governor jerry brown went to the polls to vote near his house yesterday. unfortunately, the guy voting next to him brought his dogs, one of wish took a particular interest in the governor. california campus remains on lockdown at this hour. in fact, the university just released an alert to students telling them to seek shelter, stay indoors and avoid opening doors for unknown people. the shooting suspect still remains at large. we have learned that several victims, possibly up to four, have been taken to local hospitals in los angeles. witnesses telling the l.a. times this morning that the shooting happened at a party in the center of campus at the tudor campus center which seems to be a student union on campus. the witness is telling the "l.a. times" that there was a party celebrating halloween. it was max capacity inside. at least 100 people inside and outside. gunmen came up and just started shooting and at least they believe four students were shot. looking at the reports, we're hearing one of those students may be in critical condition, but we're trying to get more and more information. a lot of stuff coming out on social media now. keeping in touch with the "l.a. times." >> thanks a lot. weps we want to get back to the race

and the gunmen went to the university of southern california. there appears to be some sort of dispute not related to the university. an "l.a. times" reporter is reporting be some type of gang violence. we know the university continues to urge students to stay indoors, keep away from the scene as they investigate what going on at the student center, where this halloween party was being held. the l.a. police department will be holding a briefing. we'll be tuned in and listening to what is going on over there and hopefully update you with more information. >> thanks for the update. it is 5:04 now. millions of people on the east coast still without power. >> some of them without power. pepco only reporting 23 customers without power. that's in d.c. montgomery county and prince george's county. dominion with 3100 outages in northern virginia and b.g.e. with 6400 outages in maryland. >> maryland governor martin o'malley will spend the day in another part of the state hit hard by sandy. >> he will visit garrett county. take a look at this. two feet of sno

, california, are trying to determine the motive for a deadly workplace shooting. they say lawrence jones was in the middle of his shift when he pulled out a handgun and fatally shot two of his co-workers at close range before wounding two others and then taking his own life. >>> and in michigan, police have arrested the man they believe is behind a highway shooting spree. 24 shootings in the last 3 weeks alone. one driver was hurt. police say 1 tip out of nearly 3,000 that came in led them to the suspect's home. >>> and in medical news, going bald and other signs of aging may be much more serious than we thought. they could, in fact, be tell-tale signs of heart disease. a new study found that people are some 57% more likely to have a heart attack if they develop at least three of the following four signs of aging. baldness, a receding hairline, ear lobe increases or fatty deposits around the eyes. checking for those signs of aging should be part of every doctor's exam. >>> and a woman who is probably the nation's bravest and most determined voter. 21-year-old galicia malone, was in labor
